Ethnic Food Cook (NOC: 6322)
Job Duties:
- Prepare and cook complete Japanese specialty meals and individual dishes such as sushi, sushi rolls and hot foods (Teriyaki, miso soup, and tempura)
- Responsible for making Japanese sauces
- Plan and cook menus for Korean and Japanese dishes, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- May train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of Korean and Japanese Specialty foods
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
Wage: $14.00 for 35 hours per week
Benefit: 10 days paid vacation
Qualifications/Skill Requirements:
- Education: Completion of Secondary School
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience cooking Japanese Cuisine
Language: Speak, English, read English, write English
