Job Duties:
- Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
- Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat,
- Cut poultry into parts, Grind meats, Slice cooked meats, shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood
- Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
- Wrap and package prepared meats,
- Supervise other butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers,
- Train meat cutters
- Remove bones from meat
- Ensure storage conditions are adequate
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
- Slicing machine, Power grinder, Manual cutting utensil
Work Setting:
- Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Languages:
Education:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
- 7 months to less than 1 year
