Job description:

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Provide personal care
•  Support the senior’s mobility by assisting with safe transfers between bed, and walker; provide steady guidance and reassurance during walking or therapeutic exercises.
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, simple exercise for muscle joints function.
• Serve nutritious meals tailored to dietary preferences assist with feeding when required, 
• Assist with medications as instructed by family members or healthcare professionals.
• Engage the senior in conversation and companionship to reduce anxiety, and create a sense of stability and belonging
• Observe any changes in health, mood, or behavior, and promptly communicate these to family members 
• Accompany the senior to appointments, outings, and social activities.
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and hygienic living environment,light housekeeping such as laundry, sanitizing care
• Follow care plans and daily schedules, ensuring smooth coordination with family members & compassionate support.
• Qualifications

•             Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or related training with a hands-on placement, and/or

•             First Aid & CPR certification.

Experience

1 to less than 7 months

   Security, Health & Safety

•             Clear criminal record check.

•             Medical exam; routine vaccinations required (including COVID-19 and seasonal flu).

 Personal Attributes

Punctual, reliable, organized, patient, honest, and exercises good judgment.
