Making a Difference in Manitoba

Are you invigorated by the opportunity to lead a well-established organization that contributes to the safety and wellness of our valuable youth?  Our client, Macdonald Youth Services, is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Chief Executive Officer who will promote the mission and mandate of the organization and sustain and grow its profile as a trusted and valuable contributor to Manitoba.  The Chief Executive Officer will establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with government, funders, partner organizations, donors, clients, volunteers, and the general public.

Reporting to a community-based, volunteer Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer leads the implementation of the strategic directions of the organization and provides leadership and oversight to program and service delivery as well as the business operations. The CEO leads the continuous enhancement and evolution of MYS’s Therapeutic Model of Care, ensuring culturally appropriate Indigenous principles and practices are embedded in it and that this model is reflected in the organizational culture, all programs and services, policies and operational practices. He / she will develop and maintain an environment and culture based on the guiding principles of MYS and that promotes empathy, compassion, continuous improvement and evolution and achievement of results.

You will bring to this position a relevant post-secondary degree complemented by a minimum of eight years senior leadership experience in organizations providing numerous and varied social programs and services.  A demonstrated successful track record negotiating service agreements with funders as well as identifying new and innovative ways of growing revenues is desired.  A strong knowledge of Canadian child welfare systems, principles and practices as well as a background working with children and adolescents would be considered a significant asset.  You will have excellent oral, written, presentation and media relations skills as well as a client service, relationship and collaboration focus.
