CONSTRUCTION WORKER

Position Overview:
The Construction Laborer will support ongoing residential and commercial construction projects by performing skilled and semi-skilled labor tasks. The employee will contribute to the completion of framing, concrete, finishing, and installation work, while ensuring full compliance with workplace safety guidelines.

Main Duties:

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials.

• Assist carpenters, concrete workers, and tradespersons.

• Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and gravel.

• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and barricades.

• Level earth, backfill, and excavate areas to prepare sites.

• Use various tools (saws, drills, compactors, etc.).

• Install components including drywall, insulation, flooring, and hardware.

• Perform demolition and site clean-up activities.

• Maintain accurate timing and task logs as required by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in construction or similar labor work.

• Ability to understand and follow instructions and construction plans.

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.

• Familiar with occupational health and safety practices.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:

• Safety certification an asset (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights).

• Must be willing to work outdoors and in variable weather.
