Nanny

We are a Surrey-based family seeking a caring, reliable, and professional Nanny to support our home and provide high-quality care for our 5-year-old child. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, understands early childhood development, and can foster a positive, structured, and nurturing environment. In this role, you will guide our child’s daily routine, support learning and development, and engage them in meaningful, age-appropriate activities. Position Description and Salary

Salary: $20.00 per hour

What You Will Do

• Supervise and care for the child to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times.
• Maintain a consistent daily routine that includes learning activities, playtime, outdoor activities, rest, and other scheduled tasks.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home, ensuring child-related areas remain organized and tidy.
• Support the child’s emotional well-being by providing encouragement, comfort, and positive guidance.
• Plan and engage the child in age-appropriate activities such as crafts, reading, games, outdoor play, and outings.
• Prepare and serve simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the child.
• Assist the child with personal hygiene, daily self-care, and social development.
• Accompany the child to and from school (if applicable) and take them to appointments, programs, or other scheduled activities.
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child’s care, including tidying play areas and cleaning up after activities.
• Assume responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence to ensure a safe and consistent environment.
• Communicate with parents regarding the child’s daily activities, behaviour, needs, and progress.
• Perform other related duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Completion of secondary school.
• At least one year of hands-on childcare experience or formal training in a childcare-related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral communication.
• Ability to work calmly, patiently, and with genuine care.
• Sound judgement and intuitiveness in childcare situations.
• Ability to manage tasks independently while staying organized and dependable.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Cooperative, team-player attitude.
• Flexibility to adapt to routine changes and the child’s needs.
