Long-Haul Truck Driver

Job Description:

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipments, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emission.
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenence
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of services, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements:

• Air Brake (Z) endrsement
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Qualifications:

• No degree,certificate or diploma 

Experience:

• Not mandatory, will train

Work Setting:   Various locations

Language :   English
