Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent         

Salary: $37.00 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and/or as per company contracts.

Job duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Finish surface of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects, remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Operate power as well as hand tools.
• Supervise other construction workers.

Position Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of apprenticeship program in the trade or at least 3 years of work experience in a similar field is required.
• Ability to communicate in English
