Position Title: Early Childhood Educator

Location: 2699 W Railway St, Abbotsford, BC V2S 2E7, Canada

Start Date: As soon as possible

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour (CAD)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 30-40 hours per week, scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (6-8-hour shifts with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)

About Us

Next Level Childcare Fraser Valley Inc. is a fully licensed childcare facility providing quality care for children from birth to 5 years of age. We are currently seeking dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our team and work with children aged 0 to 5 years.

Job Responsibilities

Observe and assess children's development to plan individualized learning activities

Support co-workers with light housekeeping, meal prep, and care routines

Bathe, feed, and diaper infants and toddlers

Create and lead programs promoting children’s overall development

Keep equipment clean and organized

Read stories, teach songs, and lead creative activities

Supervise assistants, trainees, or volunteers

Communicate children's progress with parents

Assist in program delivery and record keeping

Guide children in daily routines like eating, dressing, and toileting

Set up rooms for meals, rest, and activities

Monitor behavior and learning issues; report findings

Attend team meetings to discuss children's needs

Follow licensing standards and safety guidelines

Build strong relationships with colleagues and community partners

Maintain a safe and nurturing environment

Oversee and coordinate educator and assistant activities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or college diploma required

Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certificate

Current First Aid certification

Experience an asset

Satisfactory criminal record check

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
