About Us
All Saints’ Montessori School offers Pre-Casa and Casa programs for children aged 18 months to 6 years. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where children can grow according to Montessori philosophy and Ontario’s early learning standards.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Supervisor to provide leadership and professional oversight in our Montessori school. This role ensures program quality, staff coordination, and full compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
Work Schedule: On-site, weekdays, shifts, 30 hours per week guaranteed; up to 40 hours during peak periods
What You’ll Do
- Program Planning & Implementation
- Develop and oversee age-appropriate early learning programs.
- Coordinate daily educational and recreational activities that foster children’s holistic growth.
- Ensure programs are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate.
- Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise and support ECEs and assistants in curriculum delivery and classroom management.
- Conduct performance evaluations and organize staff training.
- Prepare work schedules and ensure adequate daily coverage.
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Monitor and maintain full compliance with CCEYA regulations.
- Keep all records (attendance, incidents, health reports) accurate and up to date.
- Implement health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Family Communication & Engagement
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
- Organize meetings, progress updates, and family engagement events.
- Provide guidance on developmental milestones or behavioral concerns.
- Administration & Centre Management
- Assist in budgeting, purchasing, and resource allocation.
- Prepare reports for management and licensing authorities.
- Support onboarding and orientation of new staff.
- Child Development & Observation
- Observe and document children’s progress and developmental needs.
- Coordinate with specialists when additional support is required.
- Promote positive guidance and model nurturing educator-child interactions.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: College diploma in Early Childhood Education or related
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in early childhood education
- At least 2 years as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
- At least 1 year in a supervisory capacity (Supervisor, Lead Teacher, etc.)
- Experience in a Montessori school environment strongly preferred, as it supports familiarity with Montessori pedagogy, materials, and classroom management
- Credentials:
- Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in good standing
- First Aid, and CPR-C certification
- Other Requirements:
- Medical exam, tuberculosis test, and vulnerable sector check
- Access to own or public transportation
