Responsibilities

Tasks    

• Prepare and mark the surface to be covered to install tile strips.
• Build foundations and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
• Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges.
• Mix and apply adhesives like mortar, cement, mastic, or glue with a hand trowel.
• Position tiles and press them to stick to the base.
• Fill gaps between tiles with grout and clean off the excess.
• Clean the surfaces and ensure they are level, smooth, and ready for tiling.
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles using hand and power tools.
• Arrange and set mosaic tiles for decorative designs on walls, murals, and floors.
• Perform repairs on existing tiled surfaces, such as replacing broken tiles, regrouting, or fixing loose tiles.
• Mix, lay, and polish terrazzo surfaces.
• Cut, polish, and install marble and granite tiles.
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• May prepare cost estimates and orders upon request.
