Position: Child Care Provider-Private Home

Job Duties:

-          Supervise and care for children aged 7 & 5 & 3 in employer’s own residence

-          Bathe, dress and feed children

-          Plan, prepare and serve healthy meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties with respect to children such as laundry, cleaning and tidying rooms including kitchen

-          Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer

-          Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home while parents are absent

-          Instruct children in personal hygiene

-          Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development

-          Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

-          Organize and participate in fun and educational activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings

-          Take children to and from school and appointments

Terms of Employment: Temporary

Wage: $13.00 for 30 hours per week

Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation

Qualifications/Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of Secondary School

Credentials: First Aid Certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years working with children

Language: Speak English, Read English, Write English
