Description: Estevan Plastic Products, a leading manufacturer of high-quality PET bottles in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, is seeking a motivated Labourer to join our team. As the sole provider of PET bottles in these regions, we are dedicated to excellence, innovation, and reducing environmental impact. Job Duties:

  • Operate and monitor plastic molding and extrusion machines to fabricate PET bottles, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Assist machine setups and adjustments, targeting optimal production rates and minimizing downtime.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks to guarantee product compliance with strict specifications.
  • Uphold high standards of workplace cleanliness and safety, adhering to all regulatory policies.
  • Proactively identify and report any equipment malfunctions and inconsistencies in product quality.
  • Participate in inventory counts and assist in managing supplies.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, contributing to the attainment of production goals through collaborative efforts.

 Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or certifications in manufacturing, plastics technology, or related fields preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for candidates familiar with plastics manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg and standing for extended periods.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility to work in varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, with the adaptability to changing production schedules.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Possession of specialized skills, such as operating complex machinery, knowledge of specific manufacturing techniques unique to plastic products, minor maintenance and troubleshooting of the machinery, or experience with advanced safety protocols, will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to different roles within the manufacturing process, and willingness to learn new skills, is an asset.
