Position

Food Processing Skills Canada (FPSC) will provide solutions to address the workforce challenges in Canada’s food and beverage processing sector by improving foundational and transferable skills of essential food industry workers within the Canadian agri‑food supply chain, and by designing and implementing a nationally pre-tested training program focused on social‑emotional learning and essential and foundational skills that align with the Skills for Success (SFS) model. FPSC will develop and deliver tools, resources, and training programs, in both official languages, to employers and employees.

Overview

 

Program Administrator – Language Stream leads strategic initiatives, and defines and enables cross-functional and product development processes to drive continuous improvement techniques across the organization with a focus on our cloud delivery and enterprise-wide change management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing programs, projects, and process improvements in global environments.

 

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead complex programs through ideation, execution, and adoption.
  • Create visibility, alignment & clarity on strategic initiatives across the project.
  • Track deadlines, deliverables, resources, action items, and timelines throughout programs and hold owners accountable for their commitments.
  • Identify dependencies and possible issues across teams, programs, or processes and make sure they are known, owned and mitigated.
  • Proactively drive change and develop the organization to be efficient, lean and cloud-oriented.
  • Define/evaluate/change processes and roll out new and updated processes to the organization.
  • Manage the process document repository.
  • Define and track KPIs for measuring the organization’s success and efficiency.
  • Work with Product Strategy/CloudOps/Support and Services to streamline the cloud delivery process.
  • Facilitate discussions to understand lessons learned.

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering /computer science or related field.
  • 10+ years overall engineering experience including a minimum of 5 years of project and program management experience.
  • Proven experience managing programs, projects, operations, services and teams in matrix and global environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate, debate and drive discussions across different locations and time zones.
  • Proven experience leading complex engineering initiatives, establishing new company processes and driving change management.
  • 5 years’ experience with strategic enterprise-wide projects requiring a big-picture view such as large-scale development projects and efforts to combine various domains into a unified solution.
  • Proven experience providing visibility of project status through relevant and accurate information; developing & tracking projects/program plans and ensuring accountability at all levels.
