Title: Medical Office Assistant

Work Location: 1399 McPhillips St suite 12, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2V 3C4
Work Settings: Chiropractic Clinic
Wage: $21.00/hr based on 30-35 hrs/wk, with 4% paid vacation
Overtime: Overtime will be paid after 8hrs/day, or 40hrs/wk

Education: Completion of secondary school

Experience: 3-5 years of work experience or equivalent education in a related field

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Job Description:
- Answer telephone calls, patients inquiries and greet them in a helpful and respectful manner.
- Register new patients, book, cancel appointments, and maintain schedules.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and files.
- Prepare patients’ medical documents and data for chiropractors to review
- Communicate with patients and gather the required information for forms, and case histories.
- Collect payments, prepare bills and issue receipts.
- Perform other clinical, and administrative tasks as required by the clinic management.
- Prepare the examination rooms and equipment, and assist the chiropractor as required.
