Food Service Supervisor (Noc 62020)

Taiwan Restaurant is a distinguished restaurant with commitment to high standards and outstanding service, invites passionate individuals to join our team in delivering an authentic and delightful Chinese culinary experience. We are seeking a full-time permanent experienced food service supervisor to join our team. The work location is at 15 High Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland and Labrador.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish methods to meet work schedules

  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food

  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

  • Ensure food service and quality control

  • Prepare food order summaries for chef

  • Establish work schedules and procedure

  • Prepare and maintain reports, including inventory, repairs, sales and wastage

  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies

  • Participate in the hiring process and assist in the restaurant’s development

  • Plan cafeteria menus and related budget plan

 

 

Skills & Qualification:

  • Completion of secondary school is required

  • 1 year of experience of supervising and coaching staff in food preparation or service is required.

  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, conflict management 

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Team player who works under pressure and fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Proficient in English

  • Fluent in a second language will be an asset

 

 

Job Type:  

Full time, Permanent



Compensation:

  • The wage for this position is $17 per hour

  • Work hours: Monday-Sunday, 40 hours/week

  • 10 days of vacation yearly or 4% of annual remuneration
