Job Description:
Makbel Truck Centre, a well-established and reputable truck service and repair facility, is now seeking a mechanic helper for heavy duty vehicles.
This is a great opportunity to start a career in the automotive industry and gain hands-on experience in truck and large vehicle repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in mechanical and repair of trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
- Learn to perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on vehicles.
- Assist in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing faulty components, parts, and systems.
- Support testing and adjustment of vehicle systems and components.
- Complete repair/service orders to maintain accurate invoices of service performed.
- Maintain shop cleanliness as a team.
- Customer service of inquiries, updates, billing, and changes.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations under the supervision of senior technicians.
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience with heavy duty vehicle or vehicle repair / maintenance OR Automotive mechanic training certification
- Positive work attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the field
- Strong eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to share overtime responsibilities as needed
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- Wage: $27.5 per hour or commensurate with experience
- Hours: at least 35 hours per week
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
