Position Description 

Position: Electric Motor Repairer Helper

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Unit 140 - 30722 Marshall RD Abbotsford BC V2T 0H9 and various locations in Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley (BC).

Salary and Benefits 

Salary: $23.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities 

• Assist in testing and observing electrical, electronic, and mechanical components and systems using testing and measuring instruments.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
• Support the replacement or reconditioning of shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components as directed.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas as required.
• Help wind, assemble, and install electric motor or transformer coils, following technicians' guidance.
• Assist with machining tasks for reconditioning or modifying shafts, commutators, or other parts.
• Support on-site servicing and repair activities, assisting experienced technicians as needed.
• Clean and maintain workspaces and equipment as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures under technicians' guidance.
• Support inventory management by tracking repair parts and supplies.
• Communicate openly with team members to foster a collaborative working environment.
• Show a willingness to learn and collaborate with others to contribute to a positive workplace environment.
• Perform additional labor and basic job duties as required.
