Position Description

Position: Welder

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon possible

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and Greater Vancouver areas of BC.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, welding process specifications and drawing specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various welding processes.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• Completion of apprenticeship program or minimum 3 years of relevant experience in trade
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the welding industry
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work positively in a team environment

Note

• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 to qualified candidates.
• The company will pay $1000 CAD as a referral incentive if any of the current company’s employee refers a candidate and company eventually hires that candidate.
