Vice-president, engineering - goods production, utilities, transportation and construction

Location: Ayr, ON, N0B 1E0

Salary: $55.00 per hour for 30 hours per week

Number of vacancies: 1

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and hands on leadership to a team of engineers and testers engaged in repair and development.
• Explore and implement new technologies and solutions
• recruiting new hires, identifying skills gaps, and providing growth opportunities for engineering managers
• Provide hands on technical and functional expertise, coaching and mentorship to improve skills across the engineering team and empower the team to be bold and fast.
• Ensure that all the mechanics and engineers working in the shop have sufficient required knowledge and skills to solve the technical problems.
• Monitors all complaints and problems and ensure timely resolution for all
•  Build, develop, and manages the engineering team capable of carrying out initiatives.
• Recommending technological developments and improvements inefficiency.
• Maintain and optimize budgets to meet goals.

 Eligibility Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar degree is required
• 5 years of experience or more in similar industry is essential.
• Experience in recruiting engineers and contributors.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management.
