Blacksmith (NOC 72999)

Wage: $30.00 per hour (full-time position - 40 hours per week)

 Location of Work: Various locations across the Province of Ontario

Job Description:

• Heat metal items in forge for wrought iron fixtures and railings
• Set up forging machines such as drop hammers, forging rolls, presses and upsetters
• Punch, cut metal work pieces into desired shapes and sizes
• Temper, harden or anneal forged items
• Select dies for forging according to work order
• Shape metal using power forging machines

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads; Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.

Job Requirements: Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience
