General Farm Worker

Jot Farms Ltd. is hiring for Eight Full-time General Farm Workers for their farm.

There are no education, experience or language required for this position.

The position required to perform its duties in outdoor areas.

Salary: $16.75/hr. for 30 per week +4% Vacation pay + 5 days of paid sick leave per year.

Accommodation will be provided at $30 per week.

Job Duties:

• Manually perform field work, pruning, thinning, soil preparation, ploughing, planting, weeding, cultivating, harvesting, washing, sorting, packing of the field crops
• Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery.
• Maintain or assist in the maintenance of farm facilities and farm infrastructure including cleaning.
• Examining produce for quality and prepare for market.
• Loading, Unloading, transporting produce into trucks etc.
• Using fertilizers, detecting disease and other problems in crops
• Remove extra grass and plants.
• Clear out the destroyed fruits from land.
• Informing farm owner of crop progress
• Install and remove bird control devices, fences, wires for crop plants.
