Job Title: Cashier

Terms of Employment:  30-40 hours per week, Full-Time/Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Wage: $16.75-$18.00 perhour (Depending on Experience)

Job Duties:

• Greet customers as they enter the beauty salon.
• Estimate or determine the price of salon services or products, such as haircuts, facials, or beauty products, using a pricing list or salon software.
• Use the salon's cash register or point-of-sale system to calculate the total amount due for the services or products selected by the customer.
• Scan or manually enter the prices of beauty products using an optical scanner or other electronic equipment.
• Ensure the shelves in the retail area are well-stocked with beauty products and maintain cleanliness in the counter area.
• Safely wrap or package purchased beauty products in bags, ensuring they are handled with care.
• Provide customers with information about the salon's services or products.
• Perform cash drawer reconciliations at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring that the cash amounts match the total sales for the day.
• Maintain an adequate amount of change in the cash register for providing accurate change to customers.
• May assist with other duties as required, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, or directing customers to the appropriate salon staff.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Education: No education requirement

Experience: No experience is required, training will be provided to the selected candidate

*** Experience in cashier or related field would be considered an asset

Language: English is required

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, standing for extended periods, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
