Great Job Opportunity!

2 x Permanent Full-Time Cook wanted for a busy “1609673 Alberta Ltd. o/a Golden Bell Sub and Grill Vietnamese Restaurant” located at Unit #101 - 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8.  Wage rate is $17.00 per hour and works at least 40 hours per week. Benefit includes 4% vacation pay and continuous learning opportunity.

JOB DUTIES:

• Prepare and cook complete meals and/or individual dishes and foods.
• Prepare and cook special meals for customers as requested.
• Supervise kitchen helpers.
• Oversee kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work area.
• Plan menus and determine size of food portions.
• Estimate food requirements’ costs and monitor and order supplies as often as necessary.
• Train kitchen staff.

Skills/Personal Suitability: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Communication, Working with Others, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Job Task Planning and Organizing, Computer Use. Able and Willing to Work Weekends and Overtime.

Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.

Language: English

Work experience:  7 months to less than 1 year of experience relating to any food service
