General Farm Worker

Harker’s Organics Rustic Roots Winery Ltd. “is engaged in business of Farming of organic fruits and vegetables is currently looking for Five (05) full-time Permanent General Farm Worker.

Work Location: 2238 Hwy 3, Cawston, BC – V0X 1C2

Requirements: No formal education or experience is required.

Language: None

Position: General Farm Worker (NOC: 8431)

Wages: $16.75/hr + 4% Vacation Pay

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Benefits: 5 days of sick leave per year, other benefits as per BC employment standards Act.

Job Duties:

1. Field work, Soil Preparation, Planting, harvesting etc.
2. Washing, sorting & Packaging of fruits and vegetables.
3. Loading of produce into truck.
4. General Maintenance of farm.
5. Operate farm machinery and equipment.
6. Removal of extra grass and debris.
7. Protect the crops from weeds and pests by taking require action.
8. Inform Farm manager or supervisor about crop progress.

Other Skills:

Legally entitle to work in Canada.

Able to work in Harsh weather conditions.

Required long hours of standing, bending, couching etc.
