JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking to add to our team a passionate and efficient Food Service Manager who can work proactively and oversee all responsibilities related to restaurant operations and maintenance. We need an experienced Food Service Manager with a great attitude and strong leadership skills to join our team. Our ideal candidate has the ability to work in a dynamic team environment, multitask, and effectively communicate and manage the front and back of the house staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES: 

• Manage, arrange, supervise, govern, and assess the activities of the restaurant.
• Establish work schedules for staff and monitor their performance.
• Hire personnel and supervise their training.
• Address customer concerns and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, oversee income, and adjust processes and pricing.
• Negotiate agreements with suppliers for food and supplies.
• Identify the range of services to provide and execute operational protocols.
• Other related duties as needed
  
  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, permanent

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week

WAGES:  $29.31 per hour

OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

• Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.
• Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.

LOCATION OF WORK: 784 Main St, West Vancouver, BC V7T 0A5

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of Secondary school is required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• One to two years of related Food Service experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:

• Repetitive tasks.
• Fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Work under pressure.
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Sometimes work in a noisy and distracting environment.

• Must be a team player, flexible, reliable and organized.
• Must be available for all hours of operation including overtime and weekend work as required.
