As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Chef in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking dishes according to recipes and standards.
- Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
- Oversee kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work area
- Ensure proper food handling techniques and uphold sanitation standards
Skills:
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is an asset
- Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks
or
completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety
or
several years of commercial cooking experience is an asset.
