We are currently seeking a qualified User Support Technician to work on leading edge technology and support our technician teams and clients. The successful candidate for this position will be a part of highly motivated and highly technical work environment that feeds off the collective energy of a team-oriented workplace.

Wage & Benefits

$34.00/hour, 30 to 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Support of computers, laptops, printers, departmental applications and local area networks.
  • Track and respond to customer requests (walk-up, telephone, email, etc.).
  • Research, plan, install, configure, maintain and upgrade desktop software, hardware and operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and connectivity problems; provide flexible, timely and efficient resolution to customer issues.
  • Follow procedures and policies pertaining to the systems and its user base.
  • Develop and conduct various training for system users on operating systems and other applications.
  • Provide responsive support for basic technology and application questions and problems, and contribute to future improvement.
  • Document problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Record and maintain hardware and software inventories.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • A college diploma in computer, network or IT related areas is required. Higher education will be an asset.
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in computer, systems, hardware or other IT/user support capacity is required.
  • Basic IT knowledge and user/desktop support (basic hardware and software navigation and troubleshooting).
  • Passionate and motivated to help others with a customer focused mindset and positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills; must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to effectively work under pressure, tight deadlines, and without direct supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and duties in providing technical assistance.
