Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Bachelor’s degree or several years of equivalent experience

Experience: 5 years or more of established and demonstrable experience of business development and strategic planning as organizational head or top-level executive manager with in-depth knowledge & understanding of high-level administration of all aspects in an aviation and defence firm.

Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people, Staff in various areas of responsibility

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, Willing to travel internationally, Travel expenses paid by employer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments,
  • Identify niche Canadian capabilities in aerospace and defence sector(A&D) and match these with Grintex strengths and opportunities.
  • Organize collaboration/ tie-ups between Grintex and Canadian firms in the A&D sector.
  • Use experience and network in facilitating support of Global Affairs Canada for exports from Canada.
  • Maintain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the Canadian aerospace and defence sector, key firms, network of senior level contacts and key trade associations.    
  • Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions,
  • Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions,
  • Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs,
  • Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning
