Inspirations Montessori School Inc. is a licensed facility, we are a daycare for children from 30 months to school age. We provide a loving, caring, friendly, safely environment for your child. We are looking for Early Childhood Educator (ECE) assistants to join our team.

Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE) assistant

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hourly Wage: $20.00

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Location:  7980 Gray Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5J 4A1

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and assist Early Childhood Educators to implement child development programs
• Assist to maintain records of children's progress, behavioral observations, and daily attendance
• Engage children in a positive learning environment through activities, stories, and crafts
• Assist children in eating, dressing and potty training
• Ensure equipment safety, classroom cleanliness, and help with meal preparation
• Arrange room for snacks/meals/naps and activities
• Observe and prepare report for Early Childhood Educator and supervisors of any learning problems or behavior issues
• Participate in the staff meeting, discuss progress and development of children

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 1-7 months of work experience in child care is required.
• Valid BC Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) Certificate is required
• Completion of an early childhood education assistant certificate program or post-secondary courses in early childhood education is recommended
• A clear medical exam check and vulnerable sector check
• Ability to work in a team and self-motivated
• Detail oriented, energetic, and work with repetitive tasks
