Salary: $27.00 per hour for 35 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately recording and classifying financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments using accounting software or manual systems.
- Track and manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices, recording customer payments, and following up on any outstanding balances.
- Create and maintain general ledgers, which are a record of all financial transactions for the organization. This includes reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
- Calculate employee wages, deductions, and taxes, and prepare payroll checks or facilitate electronic payments. Also, maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and up-to-date financial information for management, tax purposes, or external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with management to develop budgets and assist in forecasting financial performance based on historical data and trends.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by investigating and resolving discrepancies between accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Organized and accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, bank statements, and other supporting documents.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to finance, such as filing documents, responding to inquiries, and assisting with financial data entry.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A college degree, CEGEP or other non- university certificate or high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Prior experience of 1 to 2 years in bookkeeping or related roles.
- A strong understanding and proficiency in bookkeeping software and tools are important.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and concepts is necessary. This includes knowledge of debits and credits, journal entries, financial statements, and the general ledger.
- Strong attention to detail to accurately record and maintain financial records. The ability to spot errors and discrepancies is critical for ensuring accurate financial data.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills are necessary for performing calculations, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data.
- Must be organized and efficient in managing financial records, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing tasks.
- Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. This includes written and verbal communication to convey financial information clearly.
- Handle sensitive financial information, so ethical conduct and the ability to maintain confidentiality are vital.
