Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the store's daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring the store is adequately staffed.
- Responsible for monitoring sales performance, setting sales targets, and implementing strategies to achieve and exceed sales goals. This involves analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making adjustments as needed.
- Handle inventory management, including ordering products, tracking inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and minimizing stock discrepancies or losses.
- Hire, train, and supervise store employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service. They also schedule shifts, manage employee performance, and address any disciplinary or performance issues.
- Focus on delivering exceptional customer service by resolving customer complaints or concerns, providing product information, and creating a welcoming and helpful store environment.
- They collaborate with the marketing team to implement marketing campaigns, promotions, and visual merchandising strategies to attract customers and increase sales.
- Responsible for managing store budgets, controlling expenses, and ensuring profitability. This includes monitoring sales, analyzing financial reports, and making decisions to optimize store performance.
- Ensure that the store complies with company policies, procedures, and visual merchandising guidelines. Store managers also ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of products to the store.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust strategies, identify opportunities, and maintain a competitive edge.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience is typically required for this job.
- Strong leadership abilities and the skills to effectively manage and motivate a team. Experience in supervising employees, delegating tasks, and providing coaching and feedback is often desired.
- possess strong communication skills to interact with employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Effective verbal and written communication, as well as the ability to build relationships and resolve conflicts, are essential.
- A solid understanding of sales strategies, customer service techniques, and the ability to drive sales growth. Experience in meeting sales targets and delivering excellent customer experiences is valued.
- A good understanding of the products or services offered by the retail store and knowledge of the industry trends and competition is important for this role. This enables effective merchandising, inventory management, and customer engagement.
