Position Description

Position: Landscape Gardener

Type of employment: Permanent, Full Time

No of positions: 2

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver and Fraser Valley (BC).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $28.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Interact with clients and propose ideas or options for different types of landscaping
• Plan and execute small scale landscaping operations by participating with labour in preparing and grading terrain, applying fertilizers, seeding and sodding lawns, and transplanting shrubs and plants
• Maintain grounds and landscape of private residences and businesses.
• Plant new and repair established lawns, using gardening implements, seed mixtures and fertilizers recommended for particular soil type and lawn location.
• Locate and plant shrubs, trees, and flowers selected by property owner or those recommended for particular landscape effect.
• Perform other landscape gardening duties as requested by management.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in landscaping and/or gardening.
• Education in related field would be an asset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Maintain a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
• Ability to effectively motivate, encourage and lead a team to complete projects in a timely, organized and efficient manner.

Note:

• If any of the current employee of Preet-Y Gardening Services Inc. makes a referral that result into a hire, the company will pay $500.00 CAD to that employee.
• Financial assistance for relocation from other cities, provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 CAD for qualified candidates.
