Position Description

Position: Construction Cleaner

Type of employment: Full time; Permanent

No of positions: 3

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley (BC).

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and remove rubble, scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other unwanted materials from construction sites.
• Dispose of trash at construction sites and other waste containers.
• Prepare for the next day's work by cleaning all specified work areas and respecting all safety regulations.
• Clean snow and ice from construction sites.
• Clean the windows, walls, floors, and ceilings, as well as the interior of the house.
• Cleaning hallways, floors, and stairs as necessary by vacuuming and sweeping.
• Clean up equipment, supplies, and other items in the appropriate areas.
• Cleaning surfaces with power equipment, such as pressure washers, scrubbers, and steam cleaners.
• Remove paint, glue, and other residues from surfaces using solvents, scrapers, or other tools.
• Assist with the setup and teardown of temporary structures.
• Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or other concerns to the site supervisor.
• Perform other construction cleaning duties as required.

Job Requirements

• Completion of high school would be considered an asset but not mandatory.
• Some work experience in similar work would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, and in all-weather conditions.
• Fitness and stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality.
• Ability to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
