Truck/Trailer Repair Mechanics

Titan Industries Ltd. (Business Address:10944 124 St Surrey BC) is looking for 2 “Truck/Trailer Repair Mechanics” on a permanent and full-time basis.

Positions Available: 2

Salary: $35/hr

Hours Per Week: 30-40 hrs per week (Overtime paid for any work done over 40 hours)

The person should be able to perform the following job duties:

• Diagnose & fix repairs on all type of trucks and trailers.
• Order material/parts needed to complete repairs.
• Be accountable for keeping repairs within the parameters of the budget and for ensuring that all work is carried out safely.
• Provide assistance with additional tasks as needed.
• Inspect truck/trailer equipment to ensure good operation and look for flaws or malfunctions.
• Use an electrical circuit technician and other testing tools to identify faults or malfunctions and the extent of the necessary repairs.
• Using hand and power tools, adjust the equipment and fix or replace any damaged parts, components, or systems.
• Fix, reposition, or replace parts of a commercial truck's chassis, frame, body, cab, engine, drivetrain, air brakes, and steering systems.
• Check the performance of repaired equipment and confirm that the work complies with requirements.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.

Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a three- to a five-year apprenticeship program
or
A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade OR college or industry courses in heavy equipment repair is required.

Language requirement: there is no specific language required to perform as a truck/trailer repair mechanic.
