Warehouse Supervisor

Portside warehousing Inc specializing in warehousing and distribution services  head office is Winnipeg,Manitoba.Company has many major Distribution Centers in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto and offers green supply chain solutions – backed by a national warehousing and distribution network. 

Portside Warehouse is  hiring one full time permanent position for Afternoon Warehouse supervisor for their Burlington Location. Must have 1 to 2 years relevant experience as a warehouse supervisor, and a Completion of a post-secondary education program of 1 year to 2  years in business, supply chain, production or manufacturing management. Knowledge related to Inventory, dispatch or related software is required. Offering salary 60,000 annually for 40 hours per week.

Employment condition: Evening,Night.Monday to Friday,14:30-23:00

 Location:  3480 Harvester Rd, Burlington,Ontario L7N 3M7

Supervision : 11 to 15 people on afternoon shift 

Certificate : First aid certificate,WHMIS and forklift operation.

Transportation: Own transportation and valid license.

Following are the job duties: 

• Develop and execute daily and weekly operational plans to meet and exceed customer service requirements.Prepare and submit reports.

       • Work closely with the CSR Team to ensure the timely receipt, picking and shipping of customer orders in compliance to agreed service times.

       • Develop and implement team goals. Monitors the productivity and accuracy of team members.Supervise,coordinate and schedule activities of workers.

      • Manage the equitable distribution of workload ensuring that all team members have specific responsibilities and conduct performance reviews.

      • Coach, mentor, and train associates to ensure competence, as well as prepare them for future opportunities.

       • Ensure all safety rules and procedures are followed and site security is maintained.

       • Resolve work related problems and order required material. 

        • Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are implemented and followed.

        • Perform other duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.

Other requirements of the job: Must be reliable, organized and can work under tight deadlines. Weight handling up to 13.5 kg and steel toed safety shoes.
