Supermarket Department Supervisor

Job Duties:

Day-to-day responsibilities include checking inventory, ensuring items past the sell-by date are removed, and making sure needed items are in stock.

Negotiating prices with vendors and restocking supplies as needed.

Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness

Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise

Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters

Providing guidance for employees, scheduling shifts, and handling disciplinary actions as needed.

Handle customers questions, concerns, complains, etc.

Experience:

At least 3 years related previous managerial experience

Leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate well verbally and orally, are needed in this role.

Lift and move heavy boxes of produce.

Create and merchandise produce displays, making sure only high-quality produce is presented

Excellent computer skills, familiar with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint. etc/

Korean, Japanese and Chinese language are preferred to communicate with vendors and suppliers
