Position: Welder - Tubing and piping

Ag Shield Manufacturing is a shortline equipment manufacturer headquartered in Benito MB.  They specialize in providing innovative equipment that delivers real value to the end user.  They have a diverse product line, providing equipment to support the broad acre grain farmer, the forage grower, rancher and provide precision equipment for pesticide application.  Recent product launches have propelled them into the forestry marketplace and heavy construction equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reading and marking blueprints

• Operate welding equipment and manual machine tools such as band saws and drills

• Operate flame-cutting equipment

• Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition, reporting maintenance services when required

• Other duties as assigned by the fabrication supervisor

Qualifications: 

• Must be fluent in various welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAC

• At least six months of related experience

• Experience with CAC-A and GTAW would be an added benefit

• Previous experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing would be considered an asset

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Salary: $25.00 / Hour

Language: Intermediate level of English speaking and reading is required
