Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: No Experience

Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract), Drug test, Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel cross-border, Valid driver's licence

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License (Class 1 or A), Air brakes Endorsement

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Handling heavy loads, Repetitive tasks, Sitting

Specific Skills:

• Load and unload goods,
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo,
• Perform brake adjustments,
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials,
• Perform preventive maintenance,
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment,
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
