Responsibilities

  • Overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees.
  • Managing finances and preparing an annual budget; keeping records of expenditure, sales figures, and employee performance.
  • Monitoring shelve stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store.
  • Ensures that accurate inventory record of stock is maintained in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conducts regular inventory checks, random checks on at least a weekly basis, and thorough checks on at least a monthly basis.
  • Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules and ensuring the shifts are being conducted in accordance with company policies.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise.
  • Addressing customers' requests, comments and resolving their problems that arises, such as customer complaints and supply shortages etc.
  • Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters.
  • Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is usually required.
  • Minimum 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in performing similar job duties.
  • Ability to write, read and speak in English is necessary.
  • Ability to supervise 1-2, 3-4 or 5-10 people.
  • Long term benefits provided by the Company.
  • Should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, standing for extended periods.

40 to 50 hours / week
