Job description
JMG Carrier Ltd., corporate office located at 15328 48 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3S 0L2, is looking for 5 long-haul truck drivers for various locations across Canada and USA.
Terms of employment: Full-Time, permanent.
Duties:
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Perform brake adjustments. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Perform preventive maintenance, tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Experience not required; will train.
Basic oral and written English skills are required
Basic security clearance,
Criminal record check,
Driving record check (abstract),
Drug test
Transportation and travel information: Willing to travel internationally, Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver's license
Wages offered: $38.40 per hour; Overtime after 60 hours of work per week
