Position Details

• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Wage: $28 per hour, to be negotiated
• Hours: 30–40 hours per week

Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in auto repair/welding
• Ability to communicate in English

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications;
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manual and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and specifications.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipments.
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal;
• Determine weldability of materials;
• Perform structural welding repairs on vehicle bodies, frames, and metal components.
• Work of arc, metal inert gas(MIG), and gas welding procedures, tools, and equipment
• Finding the right pieces of metal according to the design.
• Assess, identify welding surface to fill gaps.

Work Conditions

The position involves a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment, including repetitive tasks, handling loads of up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and requires strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
