Apprentice Technician

2268325 Ontario Inc. O/A Toronto Truck Tire Centre, located at 225 Claireport Crescent, Etobicoke, ON, M9W 6P7, requires 1 Apprentice Technician on a permanent/full-time basis.

• Wage: $37.50 per hour
• Hours: 37.50 per week
• Experience: Must have 1 year to less than 2 years of verifiable experience
• Education and credentials: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent. Must be registered as an apprentice in the applicable Ontario compulsory trade and have a valid Registered Training Agreement (RTA).

Job Duties:

1. Repairing and maintaining truck brakes, airlines, air compressors, governors, air dryers, ABS brakes, hydraulic brakes, rims, and tires
2. Performing engine works, fuel system, fuel tanks, changing oil, fuel and oil filters, and completing grease jobs, tensioners and bells, exhaust and air intake, DPF, turbochargers, air-to-air system, and EGR valves
3. Repairs wheel hub, wheel bearings, wheel seals, axles, S cam bushing, maintenance of differentials, transmissions, electrical repairs light, harness, battery terminals, relays, fuses, and bulbs.
4. Inspecting, repairing, replacing, and overhauling fifth wheels and kingpins; adjusting play and landing gear
5. Replacing and repairing suspension system, shocks, leaf spring, air spring, center bolts, shims, U bolts, drive shaft, hanger bearings, slip yokes, transmissions, clutches, and welding
6. Inspecting and repairing climate control units, checking for leaks, receiver dryer, recovering and recharging refrigerant and heating system.
7. Any other relevant tasks.
