Lao Lao Bar is a high-volume Lao restaurant located in Toronto. Our operations require close coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure food quality, service accuracy, and efficient guest experiences.

Position Summary

The Service Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising service support staff, coordinating food flow during service, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring effective communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of expediting, dishwashing, and service support staff.
• Coordinate communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams during service.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, accuracy, and timing.
• Assist with scheduling and assigning daily duties to support staff.
• Train staff on service procedures, workplace safety, and quality standards.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and support.
• Resolve service flow issues and support operational problem-solving during service periods.
• Ensure sanitation and workplace safety standards are maintained.
• Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
• Support inventory organization and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in daily service operations as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Previous supervisory, leadership, or training experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Lao cuisine and food presentation standards is considered an asset.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
