We are seeking experienced and reliable Electricians to join the team at Able Electrical Ltd. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, equipment, and other electrical systems for residential and commercial projects in Surrey and across the Lower Mainland, while ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and compliance with applicable electrical codes.

Position Description

Position: Electrician

Type of employment: Full-Time; Permanent

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland Region BC as per company’s contracts.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $38.00 to $41.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts.

• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

• Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors to ensure proper installation.

• Test electrical systems for loose connections, broken insulation, and isolate faults, using hand and power tools.

• Splice, join and connect wires to electrical fixtures and components with precision and care.

• Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, and the observance of protective equipment requirements at all times.

• Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records to ensure the ongoing functionality of electrical systems.

• Collaborate with other trades and professionals to ensure the successful completion of projects.

• Providing technical guidance and support to electrician helpers.

• Perform any other reasonable duties as required to support the smooth operation of our electrical services.

Qualification & Requirements

• Completion of secondary school.

• Relevant education or 2-3 years of work experience in trade.

• Trade certification would be an asset but not mandatory.

• Good communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively in a team-oriented work environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Strong attention to detail with a reliable and professional work ethic.
