We are currently seeking an Electrician Helper to join our electrical services team in Surrey. In this role, you will assist electricians with electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and related tasks at residential and commercial job sites. Your responsibilities will include preparing work areas and materials, carrying and organizing tools and equipment, assisting with the installation of wiring, fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical components, and loading and unloading materials. Working closely with electricians and supervisors, you will help ensure that work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with workplace safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $25.00 to $28.50 per hour
Stable & full-time employment

Job Responsibilities
• Assist electricians in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and electrical specifications to support project requirements.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install electrical conduits, cables, and wiring under the supervision of licensed electricians.
• Load, unload, transport, and organize electrical materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, outlets, switches, panels, and related equipment.
• Pull wires through conduits and openings in walls and floors and assist with cable terminations.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing materials, and ensuring job sites remain safe and efficient.
• Support troubleshooting and testing of electrical systems and equipment under the direction of qualified electricians.
• Collaborate with supervisors, electricians, and other tradespersons to ensure projects are completed according to specifications and schedules.
• Monitor inventory of materials and assist in maintaining adequate supplies for ongoing projects.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good working condition and report any defects or safety concerns.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, electrical codes, regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with renovation, upgrade, and repair projects involving existing electrical systems and components.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment as required.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned to support overall electrical operations and project completion.

Qualification & Requirements

• Previous experience in electrical, construction, or a related trade would be an asset; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, equipment, and safe work practices would be an asset.
• Physically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various indoor and outdoor construction environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and commitment to workplace safety.
