Continuing Care Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Languages: English

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.

Job Duties:

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, personal hygine, dressing, meal assistance and hydration support..
• Provide care that respects residents' dignity, privacy, and independence.
• Observe, document, and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
• Support residents in a home-style assisted living setting.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to resident care.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup as required.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with resident and families.
• Encourage social interaction and engagemnent in recreational activities.
• Follow all care policies, plans and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and supportive environment.
• Follow proper body mechanics and afe lifting techniques.
• Work collaboratively, communicate effectively during shift changes and team meetings.
• Participate in required training and ongoing education.
