The Gill family is seeking a Full-Time, Permanent Home Child Care Provider to care for our children in a private household.

Job Title: Home Child Care Provider (NOC 44100)
Location: 1308 Reagan Ave, Coquitlam, BC, V3J 3B5

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible

Wages: $20.50 per hour
Hours: 32 hours per week
Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary
Accommodation: Accommodation is available, if required

Job Duties:

• Supervise and care for the child in the absence of the parents.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the child according to the parents’ instructions.
• Oversee the child’s daily routine, including meals, schoolwork, recreational activities, and other scheduled activities.
• Provide age-appropriate guidance regarding personal hygiene and social development.
• Discipline the child according to methods requested by the parents.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing home environment.
• Take the child to and from school, appointments, extracurricular activities, nearby parks, and other activities as required.
• Provide age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, such as games, reading, outings, and other activities based on the child’s interests.
• Assist and supervise the child with homework and school-related activities as required.
• Support the emotional well-being of the child and encourage positive social development.
• Provide companionship and age-appropriate supervision during after-school hours, school holidays, and other times when the parents are unavailable.
• Keep the parents informed about the child’s daily activities and a1`ny concerns relating to the child’s well-being.

• Flexible schedule with availability for morning and daytime shifts

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of secondary school
• Experience: Childcare experience is an asset
• Language: English
• Certificates: CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
• Security and Safety: Medical examination required
