Bakery manager - food store

Casa Romana Sweets, located at 609 Ford Dr. suite 2A Oakville, ON , L6J 7Z6is looking for 2 full-time ( min 30h/week), permanent bakery manager – food store.

Casa Romana Sweets is a specialized ethnic food business, with approximately 90% of its products and food offerings consisting of Romanian-specific cuisine, traditional Romanian bakery products, desserts, and European-style foods. The Bakery Manager – Food Store position therefore requires practical knowledge and experience relevant to the preparation, production, management, and quality control of these specialized products.

Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: min 7 months to less than 1 year

Experience and specialization:

Cuisine specialties: European cuisine; Romanian cuisine is considered an asset.

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

Tasks
Direct and control daily operations
Plan and organize daily operations
Manage staff and assign duties
Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales
Determine merchandise and services to be sold
Develop and implement marketing strategies
Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
Determine staffing requirements
Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
