Piroche Plants Inc is looking for 2 full-time, permanent Nursery Supervisors to join our team.

Wages: $32.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Experience

• 1 year to less than 2 years

Job Duties:

• Coordinate workers: Manage daily tasks for staff planting, watering, and pruning.
• Train employees: Teach team members proper plant handling, tools, and safety protocols.
• Schedule labour: Create weekly work shifts to ensure constant coverage.
• Assess performance: Evaluate worker productivity and resolve staff issues.
• Monitor plant health: Check stock daily for diseases, pests, and nutrient issues.
• Oversee feeding: Direct the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and watering schedules.
• Manage propagation: Supervise seeding, cutting, grafting, and potting processes.
• Control climate: Monitor greenhouse temperature, humidity, and ventilation systems.
• Order supplies: Track inventory and requisition soil, seeds, pots, and tools.
• Enforce safety: Ensure all staff follow health, safety, and biosecurity rules.
• Prepare shipments: Oversee the grading, packing, and loading of plants for sale.
• Maintain equipment: Schedule routine maintenance for tractors, irrigation systems, and tools.
